2017 CROMER BOWL CHAMPION: JACOB SCHOUW
(Cromer Golf Club)
Congratulations to Jacob Schouw, winner of the 2017 Cromer Bowl. Jacob became the first Cromer member to win the Bowl since 1995 Defeating Greg Bell from Bonnie Doon on the first playoff hole! Jacob and Greg shot rounds of 74 to lead the field home. Incredibly both Jacob and Greg had the opportunity to claim victory on their final hole in regulation, however both players lipped out sending the Bowl to a sudden death playoff on the 8th hole.
Scoring was always going to be difficult on a blustery day with firm and fast greens greeting participants. Following multiple days of high winds, Leon and his course staff did a great job presenting the course in the best possible condition and all players complimented him accordingly.
