Course Closed Our spring greens' renovations will take place next Monday and Tuesday (August 30-31).
In addition to all green being cored, sanded and fertilised, fairways will have chemical applications to control the spread of Kikuyu into Couch areas. Consequently the course is closed to all play on both days.
The office will be open from 9am to 5pm as usual on both days.
The bar will be open for card players on Monday from noon until 3pm. It will be closed on Tuesday.
The proshop will be closed on Monday and will open from 2pm to 5pm on Tuesday.
Normal operating hours and full course access will resume from Wednesday 1 September.
Subscriptions Notices will be mailed to members next week. Subscription for the 12 months from 1 Oct are due by 30 September. Members wishing to pay by instalments must pay the first instalment by the due date. This option will not be available after 30 September. We encourage members to use the B-pay facility as this results in immediate credit to your club account and attracts no surcharge (as does credit card payment).
The billing process requires that those members wishing to transfer have their new category applied now. This may affect booking rights and if this is a problem, please advise Nicki in the office.
Col Crawford Holden Scramble In association with Col Crawford Holden, Cromer Golf Club hosted an Invitational event of the Holden Scramble on Tuesday 24 August.
A full field of 144 took advantage of the great conditions, with some fantastic scores being handed in. Through major sponsors Holden and Callaway there was a fantastic array of prizes and tee gifts available.
In the open section the winning team of Tri-Tue Tran, David, Bennett, John McIntosh and Tim Cox shot an unbeleivable 11 under par off the stick for a net 52 1/8! This team will progress to the Regional final held at Kooindah Waters on Wednesday 3 November.

Congratulations also goes to Trish Neilsen who holed out on the 9th hole with the first shot of the day! Thanks to all the members that made the day a success and we look forward to building this event in the future years!
David Jones Vouchers Currently Cromer members are able to submit their trophy vouchers to David Jones Customer Service Centres and in exchange receive a David Jones gift card for the amount nominated on the voucher. Unfortunately due to recent changes to Credit Card Compliance, David Jones is no longer able to accept the vouchers as authorisation to charge the account. This must take effect on October 1, 2010. Cromer vouchers are still able to be redeemed at the Pro Shop, Snack Bar and Bar.
